We were unlucky with the weather but still had a great time. Everything was very organised, clearly explained and you felt safe throughout (even in the dense fog!). We saw seals, various birds, but no dolphins unfortunately due to the fog, but we were happy kayaking and it felt like a real adventure! Thank you to the team.

We booked the 4.30pm tour and it was great. Behind the cliffs the sea was calm and so it was easy to stay together in a small group with 4 Kajaks (8 people + guide). Till was a good guide and we had a fantastic time offshore. Of course we have spotted many seals.

What an AMAZING day! We took kayaks out with Ollie, who was SO fun and so knowledgeable. We were almost immediately surrounded by playful dusky dolphins who’d stayed to play for nearly our entire paddle. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful time we had with Kaikoura Kayaks! Amazing experience that we highly recommend. We are a group of 12 from the US touring NZ. Everything about our adventure was great. Check in was super efficient with their online process. Our guides, Holt, Ben and Lawrence (Lars), took great care of us with an emphasis on safety. Kayaks were top notch and the operation and functionality were fully explained. These guys were extremely welcoming and knowledgeable. We thoroughly enjoyed our time on the water touring the coastline along the Kaikoura Peninsula. Their expert commentary about the area and wildlife helped us to fully appreciate the beauty of Kaikoura. Thank you all for a wonderful experience!
