I had a fabulous time on the whale trip - we saw a humpback, lots of dolphins, some seals and albatross. The boat was clean and there was plenty of viewing room for everyone on board. Staff/guides were knowledgable and entertaining and we actually had a good amount of time out on the water to experience it.

Fantastic whale watching experienced. Saw humpback whales, dolphins and albatross. Bumpy ride but sea sickness tablets helped. Very respectful of wild animals and tour guide and other sea crew were super informative and helpful.

Looks like you know your backyard well and can find the places to spot wildlife.. good commentary during the cruise. Loved learning a bit about Maori history and vocabulary. Everything well organized, including re- booking...

Our whale watching tour in Kaikōura was truly unforgettable. Gliding across the deep blue waters with snow-capped mountains as a backdrop felt almost surreal. The highlight? Seeing a majestic sperm whale rise slowly from the depths, its sheer size and grace leaving everyone on board in silent awe. The crew’s passion and knowledge made the experience even more special — sharing fascinating facts and making sure everyone felt part of the moment. Watching the whale’s tail disappear into the water was pure magic… a memory we’ll treasure forever
